  1. Susan Hillyard says:

Dorothy’s work has inspired me all my teaching career, from teaching English through Drama in the Remedial Dept of a huge Comprehensive School in Coventry in the 70s to Argentina where I’m now Coordinator of English in Action, at the Ministry of Education in Buenos Aires. I’m heading a project, training 20 teachers to teach English through Drama in Special Education. We are working in hospital schools, orphanges, home visits for children with severe and terminal illnesses, in shanty town schools and a further 14 special schools. This is all thanks to Dorothy. Here in Argentina Dorothy’s work is unknown but we are working to bring it alive by touching the lives of nearly 500 special needs students just as Dorothy touched my life so many years ago at Warwick Uni, UK.

  2. Debra Kidd says:

Aid agency workers, detectives, tent manufacturers, tiger dentists, oil spill cleaners, set designers, zoologists, papyrus makers, embalmers, market stall inspectors, rocket scientists, time travellers, cellular biologists, olympic planners….all by the time you’re 12 years old. It’s quite tiring, but very exciting being a child in a Dorothy world.
